Embracing Italia: My First Taste of Secondment!

Ciao from the enchanting streets of Milano! With my PhD journey just around the corner, I've landed in Italy, ready to dive headfirst into an exciting new chapter.

For the next two months, I'll be at Isamgeo, with my fellow researchers, Olga Nesterova, and Jitendra Kumar Sharma.

Isamgeo is a consulting firm that provides expert advice, data analysis and interpretation, and numerical modelling in the fields of geomechanics and geophysics for the oil & gas industry. They have considerable expertise in all aspects regarding the physics of porous media, and extensive experience in oil and gas engineering.

My mission here? To harness the wealth of expertise around me and sharpen my signal and noise processing skills. With Olga and Jitendra by my side, I'm gearing up for a journey of collaboration, discovery, and growth.
